This Cookie Policy explains how Singair Mart uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Platform with cookies enabled in your browser, you consent to the use described below; you can control cookies at any time as explained in section 5.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer or phone) when you visit. They let the site remember your actions and preferences — such as your login or your cart — so you don’t have to re-enter them on every page. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage, which we group under “cookies” in this Policy.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are required for the shop to function and cannot be switched off in our systems:
- Session and login cookies (WordPress/WooCommerce): keep you signed in and secure your account session.
- Cart cookies (WooCommerce session): remember the items in your cart and your checkout progress, including for guest checkout.
- Security tokens (nonces): protect forms — checkout, contact, reviews, newsletter — against forged requests.
- Delivery-area session: remembers the delivery area you selected so shipping charges are calculated correctly.
2.2. Functional Cookies
These improve your experience but the site works without them:
- Recently-viewed and comparison data: remembers products you viewed or added to compare.
- Display preferences: for example, your chosen shop view (grid or list).
2.3. Analytics and Performance Cookies
Where enabled, we use aggregate analytics to understand which pages are used and how the site performs, so we can improve it. These cookies do not identify you personally to us. If we adopt a third-party analytics service, it will be disclosed here with its provider and retention period.
2.4. Marketing Cookies
We currently do not run third-party advertising cookies on the Platform. If that changes — for example, to measure our own campaigns on social platforms — this Policy will be updated first and consent obtained where required.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some features load resources from third parties which may set their own cookies, governed by their policies:
- Payment providers (cards, bKash, Nagad and other MFS) during payment authorisation;
- Social login providers, if you choose to sign in with a social account;
- Content delivery networks and font providers used to serve icons and fonts efficiently.
4. How Long Cookies Last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies (such as the login “remember me” cookie) remain for a set period — typically from 48 hours (login sessions) up to about 12 months (preferences) — or until you delete them.
5. Managing Cookies
5.1. You can view, delete and block cookies through your browser settings — look for “Cookies” or “Site data” in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, on desktop and mobile. You can also set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies.
5.2. If you block strictly necessary cookies, core shopping features will stop working: you will not be able to keep items in a cart, log in, or complete checkout. Blocking functional cookies clears your saved preferences.
5.3. Clearing cookies also logs you out and empties guest carts — they cannot be restored by us.
6. Do-Not-Track
Our Platform does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard. We limit tracking to the purposes described in this Policy regardless of the signal.
7. Changes to This Policy
We update this Policy when our cookie usage changes — for example, if analytics or marketing tools are added. The “Last updated” date shows the current version; material changes are announced on the Platform.
