This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Singair Mart (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and services, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to buyers (registered and guest), sellers, riders and visitors. It should be read together with our Cookie Policy and Terms & Conditions. By using the Platform you consent to the processing described here; where Applicable Law requires specific consent (for example, for marketing), we ask for it separately.
1. Who Is Responsible
Singair Mart, Singair, Manikganj, Dhaka Division, Bangladesh, operates the Platform and is responsible for the personal data processed on it. Contact for privacy matters: support@singairmart.com (subject “Privacy”), or +880 1761-234567 (Sat–Thu, 9:00 AM–10:00 PM).
2. What We Collect
2.1. Data you give us:
- Checkout details — full name, phone number, email address, delivery area and full address (the only fields our checkout asks for);
- Account data — login email, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), profile details you add;
- Order history — items bought, amounts, payment method chosen, delivery records and any return/refund claims;
- Messages — contact-form submissions (stored in our message archive), product questions, reviews and ratings you post;
- Newsletter subscription — your email, if you subscribe;
- Seller onboarding data (sellers only) — identity and business documents, bank/MFS details for settlements.
2.2. Data collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and the cookies described in our Cookie Policy (session, cart, preferences). Contact-form and newsletter submissions record the submitting IP address for spam and fraud prevention.
2.3. We do not collect: your card numbers, PINs or MFS wallet credentials (payments are processed by licensed payment providers), and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 except as part of a guardian-supervised order.
3. Why We Use Your Data
- To fulfil orders — processing your purchase, calculating area-based delivery, sending order confirmations and your personal tracking link, and enabling the rider to deliver and contact you (performance of a contract);
- Customer service — answering messages, handling returns, refunds and Buyer Protection claims;
- Safety and fraud prevention — verifying orders, preventing payment fraud, promotion abuse and fake reviews;
- Legal compliance — keeping transaction records required by tax and commercial law, the Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines 2021 and the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, and responding to lawful requests from competent authorities;
- Improving the Platform — aggregate, non-identifying analysis of how the site is used;
- Marketing, with your consent — our newsletter and offers, from which you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Who We Share Data With
- Sellers — the seller of an item receives the order details needed to fulfil it (name, phone, delivery address, items). Sellers may use this data only for that order and are bound by confidentiality under the Seller Terms & Conditions;
- Riders / delivery partners — name, address, phone and COD amount, only for delivering your parcel;
- Payment providers — licensed banks, card processors and MFS operators process your payment under Bangladesh Bank regulation; we receive confirmation, not your credentials;
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery (SMTP) and similar technical providers acting on our instructions;
- Authorities — where required by law, court order, or for consumer-protection proceedings (e.g., DNCRP).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. Order Tracking Links
Each order has a tokenized tracking link that works without login, showing delivery status, delivery area and rider contact for that order. The token is unguessable, but anyone you share the link with can view that page — treat it as semi-private. Guests can also look up an order using the Order ID plus the billing email, which acts as verification.
6. Reviews and Public Content
Reviews, ratings and questions you post are public, displayed with your display name. Do not include personal data (phone numbers, addresses) in public content; we may remove such details for your protection.
7. How Long We Keep Data
- Order and transaction records — retained for the periods required by tax and commercial law and the defence of legal claims;
- Account data — kept while your account is active; on deletion, personal data is removed or anonymised except records we must keep by law;
- Contact messages — kept in our support archive while relevant to service quality and any related claim, then deleted;
- Newsletter data — kept until you unsubscribe or ask for removal;
- Cookies — see the Cookie Policy for lifetimes.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, nonce-protected forms, access controls limiting order data to those who need it (the seller and rider of your order), and administrative access restricted to authorised staff. No internet service can promise absolute security; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the competent authorities as Applicable Law requires. Report suspected security issues to support@singairmart.com.
9. Your Choices and Rights
- Access & correction — view and edit your account details anytime; ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and data (subject to legally required records);
- Marketing opt-out — every newsletter includes an unsubscribe option; or email us. Transactional messages (order confirmations, delivery updates, security notices) continue while you use the service;
- Cookies — manage them in your browser, as explained in the Cookie Policy.
To exercise any right, contact support@singairmart.com with the subject “Privacy”. We respond within a reasonable time and verify identity before acting on requests.
10. Legal Framework
We process personal data consistently with the laws of Bangladesh, including the Information and Communication Technology Act 2006, the Cyber Security Act 2023, the Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines 2021 and the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, and we monitor the development of dedicated personal-data-protection legislation in Bangladesh; this Policy will be updated to comply as new law takes effect. Your data is stored on servers configured for our hosting arrangements; where any processing occurs outside Bangladesh (for example, email infrastructure), we require protections consistent with this Policy.
11. Third-Party Links
The Platform may link to third-party sites (including seller social pages and payment providers). Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies before providing data.
12. Changes to This Policy
We update this Policy as our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date shows the current version; material changes are announced on the Platform or by email before they take effect.
13. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, contact us first — we take privacy complaints seriously and will investigate. You may also complain to the competent authorities in Bangladesh, including the DNCRP (hotline 16121) for consumer-related matters.
